Victoria, BC – Clean out your filing cabinets, your wallet, purse and recycling bin and bring your confidential documents for shredding on Friday, May 13th, 2016 (from 10-2) in the parking lot at Tillicum Centre.
Once again Better Business Bureau serving Vancouver Island is partnering with Access Records & Media Management to bring their mobile shredding truck out for community shredding.
Small businesses and consumers are invited to bring a maximum of 5 bags or 5 boxes of paper documents for secure onsite shredding.
Shredding is by donation only. BBB will be onsite selling hot dogs as well. All proceeds will be given directly to the Rainbow Kitchen for the HeroWork Radical Renovation Program.
This is the 6th year that BBB has hosted this event with Access Records, having shredded over 45,000 pounds of confidential documents to date and fundraised over $11,000 for local charities.
Regularly shredding confidential documents is a key action you can do to help prevent yourself from becoming a victim of identity theft.
