Go Time Electric Bikes is opening a new concept electric bicycle store at Uptown on August 1, 2016. The locally owned retailer has seen rapid annual growth as more people look to ebikes as a sustainable and cost-saving choice for commuting and for exercise.
“We’ve built our business to be Vancouver Island’s leader in electric bike sales and service and we are poised for tremendous growth,” said Paul Paterson, Go Time Electric Bikes. “The new store at Uptown has inspired us to step up everything we do including extending our hours to seven days a week, investing in a new website and creating a store design that we think our customers will be very excited about.”
Go Time Electric Bikes will feature product lines like Stromer, considered the Swiss watch of electric bikes that come with their own Smartphone App to configure settings, GPS and theft Immobilization. The store will also carry Emotion, Izip, Motorino as well as Vancouver-based Eprodigy bikes, known for being the world’s best mid drive ebike.
“We’re very excited to be located next to the Galloping Goose switchback connector. It will give us a game-changing opportunity to use the trail to help our customers understand the features and benefits of our electric bikes,” said Paterson.
A smart retail space is key to the growth plans of Go Time Electric Bikes as the store only sells bikes in-person to make sure buyers get the right bike with the ideal fit. The store also carries a variety of brands to offer customers lots of options in product and price, as they believe that not every bike fits every body.
Operating on Goldstream Avenue since 2012, the team at Go Time Electric Bikes was drawn to open a store at Uptown because of their commitment to sustainability and accessible location. A grand opening event will be held beginning at 11:00 am on August 1, 2016 at their new location at 111-3680 Uptown Boulevard.
