NEWS RELEASE—A limited number of seats are available until March 31 for the Business Works for Youth training program for young entrepreneurs in Greater Victoria.
For residents aged 15 to 29, the program provides free training to help participants start their own firm within three months.
Business Works for Youth provides flexible hours and online coaching, training and mentoring. Participants can work while they’re in the program.
“You can start from your kitchen table right now,” says Larry Earnhart, the program’s business coach for Victoria. “You can experiment, run a prototype project, and work with your idea before deciding to say goodbye to the boss.”
Participants will learn about market research, business plan development, marketing, finance and business operations.
To review eligibility requirements and to sign up before March 31, visit bwyouth.com or call 1-877-714-0471 ext 21. The program runs year-round.
Funding is provided by the Government of Canada through the Canada-British Columbia Job Fund.
